IT’S GETTING BUSIER…..

The other day I was talking to my cousin, he mentioned how his college was going to start from next week, it just felt different because now the world is opening, everyone has started getting busy in their life. As we were talking, we just reminisced about our childhood, how we used to pull pranks on each other, have friendly fights, hang around here and there. It was so nostalgic. But now we have become so-called “mature” that we talk to each other like grown-ups. Once college starts, he’ll be busy with his college and stuff and so would we. Now everything is getting serious as I am getting older, studies, projects, assignments, exams, etc. But in this mix, we should also live life by enjoying every moment of it.

I feel like school time was the best time of life because you had fewer things to worry about and more things to have fun with. In school, you had friends around you the whole time, you could talk to them, mess around with them, and have all sorts of fun with them all the time. Talking to friends has also reduced over time. They’ve got busy just like me. During the pandemic, we just had to see friends virtually. Seeing them personally and virtually are two different things because as I had mentioned, you could talk and mess around with them anytime when you are with them in person. Having a lovely family is okay, but you need friends to complete the loving family.

As children, we cannot wait to be “grown-ups”, and as adults, we yearn for the innocence of childhood. Reminiscing about childhood brings a sense of delight to everyone, as it is a period that is free of all worries and anxieties. All of our cries and shouts were heard and all questions were answered. As humans, our natural instinct is to compare the present with the past and plan for the future. Childhood is what most of us yearn for because it’s the past that we have learned from. The uncertainty of the future is what worries us and we have been conditioned to believe that uncertainty is dangerous. So, I’d like to conclude by saying that live every second of your life. As per your age, enjoy doing what is done at that age.

I dedicate these lines to the children from the song “Free- by Charlie Puth” and ask them to be free.

They’ll try to tell you who to be, but they can’t change the way you feel.

Can’t tame a wild heart, you are free.

Free as the grass that’s right under your feet, free as the sky underneath your wings

Free as the wind and the river flowing to the sea, free as the feeling they can’t take from you.

No walls can keep your heart from your dream, free is just knowing that you were born to be free.

Thanks for reading :)
