Change is inevitable!

Change. Change can be scary. The thought of change prevents people from actually changing. Most of the time, change is a good thing, it helps you get out of your comfort zone and explore new things, or maybe change yourself for good or even get out of your monotonous life. Most people fear change and never actually change things in their life for fear of the worst, but that’s not the case, because if everything remained the same, life would be as good as non-existent. Change allows the person to find himself if lost, helps him understand things a lot better and helps him enjoy life. It helps the person grow physically, mentally and emotionally.

Sometimes, there are occasions where changes are out of your control. For instance, if your best friend thinks that things aren’t the same anymore and it isn’t working out anymore and she leaves you all alone, it is understood that you loved the person and their absence would affect you a lot. It’d upset you for a long time but you don’t have control over any of that so you can’t bring her back. Staying upset won’t change things between you guys, so it is necessary to accept the change and move on with your life. The more you remain stuck in anger, sadness and resentment, the more it will eat away at you. The absence of your friend might help you to concentrate on your family, friends, your goals and most importantly, yourself. These changes bring out your best self and teach you a lot of things. So, it’s not all doom and gloom.

When you expect to change, it won’t happen by the time your McDonald’s order arrives, it takes time, and you need to be patient with yourself and most importantly, believe in yourself. Imagine this, a guy who decides to reduce his belly fat goes to the gym for a day and expects to lose it in a day and constantly keeps on looking at it and measuring how much he has reduced, NO, it’s not going to happen in a day’s time mate. It takes time! These kinds of changes require time and as mentioned earlier, patience. Stay in there and you might witness the change!

However, change can also mean overlooking one’s responsibilities. Many individuals change their jobs or relationships just because they feel they have lost their passion. This effort to re-energize is often futile because external changes do little to alleviate internal changes. Therefore, in the majority of such cases, change is just an excuse to justify selfish conduct or a temporary solution. Change should be an organic process.

Changes can be as simple as altering your daily routine to complicated life-changing decisions such as separation from your partner. People would be envious and might not like the new you, but one thing that I have learnt is to not pay attention to these people because of the change you brought in yourself, they can only dream of it, and therefore, they are best left alone.

Change is a very powerful thing and it allows you to truly experience and enjoy life to the fullest! It is difficult to adapt and brings feelings of anxiousness and insecurity, but the sooner we understand that it is necessary for our growth and development, the better. We should not resist change, but instead, embrace it with open arms! However, as I said earlier, it should be in a natural way and not justify your excuses.
Thank you, and have a great day!

"Most of the time, change is a good thing and I think embracing change is what it’s all about- being brave, doing whatever you have to so everyone in your life can move forward with theirs and maybe it’s the only way you can truly make her happy."

  1. Nice writeup Pranav, If a person does not accept change and remains still, then they are left behind. This world is fast-moving, and something changes on an everyday basis.
